In order to decrease the number of fuel station hold-ups and increase the fear in criminals, some Austrian fuel stations have built-in Hydra Spray systems. The paint can be identified weeks after impact on clothing and skin, thereby linking criminals to crime scenes.

Forensic analysis ready

The Hungarian National Forensics Laboratory has tested the DNA-based compounds of the SelectaDNA products and found that the system is capable of uniquely identifying the marked objects and persons. The identification can be completed in Hungary, so the DNA fragments can lead to the owner of the products at affordable costs. The report underlines the advantage that to date thiefs could only have been found by the marks they left behind, SelectaDNA is able to mark them while they carry around the artificial DNA. This allows court procedures to accept different types of evidences, prove conviction by a new chain of proofs, and act as a strong tool in crime prevention.
